Ok so this month has been crazy with everything going on but I'm sure the summer will slow down. ( I tell myself that every day and it doesn't seem to happen).
So Kylie finished up piano and had her recital. Here she is playing her first song.

And her second.

I'm so proud of her and all that she has learned. I don't know how to play the piano so it's really cool to have her know how to do it. Now for the recital the girls were supposed to wear dresses, it is a recital after all. I told her to go and get dressed in something nice for her recital and this is what she came down in. I asked her are you going to wear a dress? and she said no, I was like whatever, so yes she wore jeans to her recital. I forgot to get a pic with her teacher. Jenna remind me to do that one day!!!!

Then we took the youth to see the Gilla Valley Temple open house, it was very cool. The only other one I had been to was the Boston one, when Robbie and I were first dating. Here is the angel Moroni. I really wish I could have taken my kids to see the temple. They know mommy and daddy go there, and that you get married there. But for them to see the rooms and to have something tangible to work toward I think makes a difference. I was telling them about it when I got home and how pretty everything was and how in the sealing room even the chairs are sparkly, how in the Celestial room the chandelier is as big as Daddy and it was really cool to talk to them and show them the pictures but I would have loved to have had them gone with us. Oh well I guess we have to wait until Gilbert opens up.

The outside of the temple.

So when I was there, I walked out and saw my friend Jen there. It was so cool since we didn't plan it at all and there was so many people there what are the chances of running into her but we did, so we took a picture. Um, sorry I look so gross. I didn't realize I looked that bad, maybe I'll just stay home for the next month so I don't gross people out.

After the temple we went to Pres. Kimball's house. It was cool to see where he grew up and to hear the stories about his youth.

So on TLC I saw this thing about this place called Sweet Cakes Cafe and it's in Mesa so I had to go there. After my dr apt last week Porter and I took a trip there. The cookies are as big as his head. I absolutely loved the place and it's totally what I want to do when I grow up. It's a little mom and pop place, the owner was there but I didn't get to talk to her but her son made our sandwiches, the brownie was huge and the cinnamon roll took Robbie and I two days to eat it.
I did come home and make my own version of the brownie (which I liked better, but I know I'm biased) I also like my cinnamon rolls better but I think Robbie liked theirs better, when I asked him all he would say was "They are both good"

He cracks me up.

Eating his huge cookie, it took him two days too.

So the big day is getting closer and I had all this stuff to get done. I made these onesies.

And these onesies too. Now I did kinda copy the ones in the other pics, the ones I copied had different iron ons but same basic idea, then I was like ok what do i do with these other ones, and I came up with them all by myself. I really am proud of myself for them. I think they are so stinkin' cute and I didn't copy anyone!!!!!!!!!
Now I know what you are thinking, hey some of them are the same but they are different sizes so she can look cute for a whole year!!! See I'm a smartie!!

Now this time I'm into pink, black and white, and that's what I want her room to be so here is the blanket for her crib, now I just have the dust ruffle and bumper to make. Oh and curtains!!!

Another blanket, yes I know I live in AZ but I do need something soft to put her on, on the floor.

Spit up cloths, now I accidentally bought the wrong kind but I couldn't waste them so I had to use them. I sewed two together and then put the fabric on them, they are the biggest pain in the butt ever and they take forever, I still have 2 more to do!!!

These ones were easy. just put fabric down the middle and sew and you are done.

Now for Mother's Day I made these rings, I loved doing them and they are so easy, I want to do more but the back ring things are hard to find.

See it's a ring, I just hope it doesn't turn your finger green.

So my friend Alexis came to visit me all the way from Portland, no just kidding she came to visit a lot of people but we did get to hang out. And it was cool, because even though I haven't seen her in like a year and a half, it was like no time had passed. I showed her how to make the flowers on the rings and we were talking about flowers and we both had seen these burlap flowers but hadn't tried them yet. So after Robbie got home we went to town and got stuff to make them and went to dinner. So today I made the burlap flowers. Burlap is messy and makes you sneeze but they are cute. And they are pins so you pin them on your shirt. How fun is that?
