Happy Birthday Elijah!!!

So it was Elijah's birthday on Saturday. He turned 6 years old. I'm not too happy about that. I keep telling him he is supposed to stay little forever but he doesn't seem to listen.
So we went online and looked at a bunch of cakes, I let him pick whichever one he wanted. I of course wanted to do something with fondant and layers and all that, but he wanted a desert island cake and this is what he picked. I was like wow I'm off the hook on this one. It was pretty easy to do. And it turned out pretty good. He loved it. He also wanted desert island cupcakes well I couldn't find the trees, and I could get them online for like 2.50 but shipping was like 6.00. I already had the pirate picks and coins so I asked him if it was ok if I did this instead and he was fine with it.
His birthday sign.

The sign on the front door.

Kylie all dressed up in her pirate outfit. Arg, Matey!!
Porter getting all dressed up!!!
We played walk the plank, where they had to walk over the swimming pool and get the toys out. They had a lot of fun doing this.
Porter all dressed up. I thought it was so cute with the dreadlocks!!!
Cara Mia's turn, she is such a girl. She got on her knees and we helped her up.
Porter's turn!!!
We of course helped him.
My friend Jen came and helped with the party. She is so amazing, she helped take pictures, organize the kids and run the games. I appreciate her so much. I don't think we could have done it as well without her. Plus she loves pirates.

Playing pin the treasure on the treasure map.

We didn't make Porter put the blindfold on.

The food. We had mini hamburgers, hot dogs wrapped in croissants, baked beans, pasta salad, chips and salsa and of course Doritos (Elijah's favorite)

We had a treasure hunt and the treasure was the pinata. Porter's turn to hit it.

Finally Elijah's turn to break it open.

Singing happy birthday to the birthday boy!!!
Blowing out candles!!

It was so much fun.
I was so stressed out since I had over scheduled myself the last two weeks. Usually I plan my kids parties months in advance but I was still getting this one ready the day before. I'm so happy that he liked it and had a lot of fun.

You do such a GREAT job at planning the kids parties and making it a blast! It feels like it was yesterday that you had the Star Wars party huh?! Happy Birthday Elijah! Time flies...
