Her birthday is 2 days before mine and neither one of us wanted to throw ourselves a party and we knew our husbands wouldn't do it so we figured we would have a Halloween party and throw our birthday's in there too. So in 10 days we planned and threw a party. We centered it mostly around the kids and we only invited a few families because when you count kids it adds up really really fast.
She was nice enough to let us use her house (it's a lot bigger and nicer than mine). Here is our food table.
we had mummy fingers
Pumpkin pizzas
Spiderweb cupcakes

Eyeball truffles

and Putrid Punch which looks gross but tastes yummy.

Here is Cara Mia in her Tinkerbell costume
and Elijah in his Batman Costume
Here are Robbie and I in our costumes. I made my skirt and I'm actually so proud of it. If you look closely it's not even and the seams are so crooked but nobody can tell. The funniest thing happened, I didn't want to get dressed until right before the party so I took my stuff over to Maelynn's house and I went into the bathroom to change and I went to put on my shirt and I had brought Elijah's shirt not mine!!! So I call out from the bathroom Maelynn do you have a shirt I can borrow???? So she was so awesome and let me borrow her shirt and since my skirt was a tad big, who measures really??? She had this belt that she let me borrow, which I think just made the outfit.I did forget my scarf but I think it still turned out ok.

We did games with the kids, throw the balls in the pumpkin, Pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern, we made monster fingers and pumpkin crafts, and throw the bean bag in the clown. It was a lot of fun and in all of our excitement we didn't even sing happy birthday or blow out candles.
It is both of our Golden Birthday's which means you turn the same age as your birthday date.
Then this morning Elijah had his school's Halloween party. We went to the park and they decorated cookies

got their hands painted, Kylie still had to go to school today so instead of doing faces we did hands instead, if her teacher didn't like it she could wash her hands and I told her to blame it on me if she got in trouble. Kylie got a pink pumpkin and a pink flower
Cara Mia got a candy corn, her shirt sayes Candy Corn Queen
Elijah got a spider and a bat. Then they made jack-o-lantern faces. It was a lot of fun, thanks Miss JoAnnna and Miss Kathy for a fun Halloween party and inviting the whole family to join in the fun.
Tonight is Kylie's school Fall Festival, I don't think we are going, first off I'm exhausted and I'm sure the kids are too, and next week we still have trick or treating at Robbie's work and then we are going to the City's Trick or Treat at Fry's . Our ward isn't doing a trunk or treat this year so we will head over to the City's. I'm really bummed that we aren't doing an organized trunk or treat. It's one of my kids favorite things to do, it's nice to have a safe environment to take the kids, since we don't really know our neighbors, we don't take them trick or treating.Oh and update on my Grandpa, He is still in the hospital, they are not putting the shunt in, he is going to go to a nursing home on Monday for 2 weeks just to get therapy and treatment then he will go home. My Aunt Connie is going to my grandma's tomorrow to help her, take care of her dogs, and just give love and support.
They were suppose to come here for Thanksgiving and they aren't now. Which I totally understand, we don't know how fast or well my grandpa is going to recover, my grandma can't help him do everything, and it's asking a lot to have them drive 4 hours to come and see us. I'm really sad about it. I love spending Thanksgiving with them. It's our tradition to spend Thanksgiving with them even when I was single and lived in Chicago I would fly to spend it with them. I asked if she wanted us to come there and she said no, which I totally understand too. I really do, half of me is really sad and the other half is saying be reasonable Tiffany life happens.

Tiffany,
I love your outfit!!! You look great and I can't believe you made that skirt it looks fabulous.
Hey! Happy early birthday! For my birthday this year I had my Sunbeams from church come over to make cupcakes and play! It was one of the best birthdays ever! Greg asked if the kids could come back for his birthday. :) Sometimes that's the best way to party! ;)
