My Golden Birthday!!

Yep, I'm 31 on the 31st.
Today has been a pretty normal day. Except Robbie cleaned the kitchen for me last night so it was clean for me this morning, my grandma called me at 7:30 this morning to sing Happy Birthday to me. And my friends Julie and Juanita called me and my aunt Connie and my sisters Monica and Marlise too. My sister emailed me and Maelynn dropped off a present (scrapbook stuff, she knows me too well). Which was so sweet of her.
Anyway tonight I'm making a Low Country Boil for dinner. It's my first time so we'll see how it goes.
And molten Lava cakes for dessert.
We ended up going to the trunk or treat at the church. We got there about 6pm and stayed until about 7pm then we came home and the kids love to hand out candy so they put their chairs on the front porch and handed out candy.
I like the trunk or treat idea so we don't have to walk up and down every street and we know all (or most) of the people there so we don't have to worry about people poisoning the kids.(I still check their candy of course).
Anyway, it was a pretty fun birthday.
I used to get so upset because the day was more about the kids and trick or treating instead of having parties and stuff like we used to when we were single. But I think I have adapted to it and I really enjoy the stuff we do with the kids. I do want to start having Halloween Parties on Halloween when the kids get older and they can have their friends over and stuff.
