Tomorrow is Elijah and Cara Mia's preschool graduation. It's more sad than happy for me, since Elijah is going to be in Kindergarten next year and I'm homeschooling Mia for preschool, it's both of their last time at preschool.
My friend JoAnna, (who teaches the preschool) well her mom went to Mexico and bought me some vanilla, (the good stuff) and I asked her how much I owed her and she said just make cookies for the graduation, I thought that was a great deal, so I did. I made chocolate chip cookies and then I made mini ones that had m-n-m's in them.

My friend Maelynn came over tonight to help me get everything ready, she is very good at presentation so I wanted her to help me. I said how should I bring the cookies tomorrow, and I got out some paper plates, I said I want to use my stands but there are kids there and I don't want them to get broken, what would you do? and she said you know what I would do I would use the stands. So I did, I really wanted too anyway, she helps me be a better person, or at least look like a better person.
Then for JoAnna's present, since she is retiring and going to hair school, I didn't want to get her school things or teacher things, so I asked my sis in law and my friend who do school what I should get and they both said butterfly clips, so I got this cute jar from IKEA and filled it with clips.

I also made for her and her helped Gailine, (and Kylie's teachers too) these cute boxes and cards. I go to this website called Paperclipping and it's like a scrapbook magazine but it's video's and every Tues they have a live show and she is all about, use what you have, and use your scraps. So I went through my scraps and found this paper, it wasn't very schooly (is that a word?) but it was summery (again I don't know if that is a word) and I thought they were cute. So I made the boxes and cards.

Pink card

don't you love that?? I totally did!!!
The blue card.

Oh do you want to see what I put in the boxes?
Ok I'll show you, then you can guess. Then I'll tell you what my husband thought it was.

What did you think it was??? HUH???? It's Apple Strudel Cheesecake Bars!!!!!
My husband came home and said, is that dinner??? I said is what dinner? He said that thing in the fridge. I said what thing in the fridge, (since I didn't make dinner tonight, I had no idea what he was talking about.) He pulls out the cheesecake, and says is this Shepard's Pie???? I looked at him and said "NO!!!! It's Apple Strudel Cheesecake, he said oh it looks like hamburger on potatoes!!!!
Thanks honey!!
Then when my friend Jen was here I asked her what teachers really want. (I figured she would know since she is a teacher.) She said a gift card. I said I know that's what everyone says, but I don't want them to know how cheap I am and really what are they going to do with a 5.00 or 10.00 gift card?? So she came up with putting clips, and thumb tacks and stuff in a jar. (Thanks for the awesome idea Jen) so that's what I did.

These are for Kylie's teachers. She has two.
Then for graduation I wanted to get the kids something little. So I got Mia some jewelry and nail polish and lip gloss for her present.

And Elijah has been wanting some sunglasses, (he wanted Star Wars, but the only Star Wars ones I could find were 9.00 and I had to order them online) so we found these at Walmart and he loves them since they are red and silver. So that is what he is getting.

So tomorrow we are going to drop Kylie off at school, then go to the kids graduation and then go to Mc Donalds to celebrate. I offered to take them to Chuck E. Cheese but they wanted Mc Donalds, and since it's here in town it's easier for me. WOO HOO!! We'll see how it goes.
