Our Week

So these are pics from the weekend, I just haven't had time to upload them to the computer until today.
This is Kylie going to the soccer game last week. She actually smiled and let me take her picture. Amazing I know. Here is Porter, on the way, Robbie's head is in the top of the pic. Oops.
We had Ashley our friend sleep over Friday and she went with us to the game on Sat. I did all three of the girls hair the same. They loved being twiners.

This is our Halibut dinner on Sunday, that fish is so good. I would love to eat it every day. I told Robbie he needed to go to Alaska and catch us a 100lb fish so we could eat it more often.
And our yummy shrimp. I found a recipe online that I'll have to try next time we make it, you marinate the shrimp in Italian dressing and then put Old Bay on it when you cook it. It sounded good.
Me eating my shrimp taco. It was so good.
Then Tuesday my friend Jen came into town. She is buying a house and was here to close on it. So I decided to make some cupcakes I have been wanting to make. I found this blog dozen flours and she bakes all kind of stuff, I have made her snickerdoodle cake and now I made these they are called crownies (she thinks they are a combo between a brownie and a cupcake. I was so busy talking to Jen while I was baking I forgot the salt so I figured I would just put it on top. (They still tasted good)

Then you put this peanut butter kinda frosting on them,

Then you put chocolate frosting on them. They were so good.
Here is Elijah eating one,
And Kylie eating one,
And Cara Mia eating one.

Here is Robbie eating his.
Jen was a good girl and ate an orange instead, I didn't have one either, I did have one the next day for lunch, and I think Jen broke down and ate one too.
I sent some to school with Kylie for her teachers too.
Then today we made Dutch Babies for breakfast. I haven't made one I think since I did in San Diego in Oct so it was fun.

I love how puffy they get.

This is Jen and Porter, it took him a while to get used to her but today he liked her and kept going to her and standing by her.

And my kids and Jen, they love her so much!!! They really do.

Then I had to babysit this morning for my friend and her kids liked Jen too and wanted a pic with her too. So we did a crazy face picture. It was my favorite.

And I wanted to make her a little something to take on the plane with her, and I had seen these on that dozen flours blog too. They are peanut butter chocolate chip cookies

And then you put chocolate frosting in them and make sammies!!! I just used the extra frosting from the cupcakes. These were really good too.

Doesn't that just make you want to take a bite.

And I told my kids (my primary kids) that since they were good for the subs on Sunday that I would bring them a treat this Sunday, so I made mini ones (I figured I don't need them going home too doped up on sugar) Aren't the mini ones cute?
If you know me at all, you know I love to bake, like I have some innate desire to mix things and put them in the oven. Seriously it's so relaxing to me and it's just something that I enjoy. So I'm very happy that I had the opportunity to make all these treats this week.
