Memorial Day

This last week was so crazy busy, I'm trying to remember it and that is why I need to blog more I guess so I can remember more.
Wednesday Kylie's class got to sing at the opening of Walmart. We had to get up at 6am that day to get everyone ready to walk out the door at 7am. She was supposed to be there at 7:20 and sing at 7:30.
Here the kids are waiting for the ceremony to start. Don't they all look so happy. Here Kylie is waiting to start.
Her class in front of the Walmart.

After she sang we went and walked around and bought some cream of wheat and some snacks.
While we were there a reporter asked me what I thought. I told him it was awesome and now instead of a 4 hour trip to town we can get it done in about a half an hour. He made me sound better than I really did. I ended up quoted in 85239.c0m. How funny huh??
After our shopping trip we went to the park to play for a little bit before Cara Mia's dance class.
After dance we dropped Kylie off at school and then went home!!!
That afternoon the kids had their soccer party at Native New Yorker. Robbie works late on Wed so I had to take the kids to that by myself too. He did show up about 30 mins into it and stayed for about 40 mins or so.
The kids had pizza and soda so they had a good time.
My friend Maelynn made these super cute cupcakes and I did have a bite. They tasted as good as they looked.
Here Porter is waiting for his food. He was starving.
Then Friday I got my hair cut!!! Thanks Terin!!! I love it.
Sat was a girls day in town. IKEA was having a sale on this book unit that I wanted for my scrapbook room and Robbie wanted one for his den. They are normally 79.00 and we got it for 49.00 so pretty good deal.
Then we headed over to Old Navy and they had 50% off their clearance so I got a ton of clothes for my kids. Elijah has 6 pairs of jeans now and I found a trench coat for 7.50!!!! For me!!!
Monday we were going to have Robbie's family over for dinner for Bob's birthday but he was in the hospital, he has a blood clot in his heart and they are trying to dissolve it, we have also found out he has prostate cancer. So instead of having him over for dinner we brought him lunch, and gave him a picture of the kids for his birthday. His birthday is this Thursday.
Elijah loved grandpa's Indiana Jones hat and had to wear it. Taking 4 kids to the hospital is not a fun idea but it was important for them to see him, and I hope we cheered him up, the kids made him cards, and at least he wasn't bored for about an hour.

After we came back, we did a little BBQ for our family just hot dogs and hamburgers and chips and ranch beans but it was fun.
This is the kids last week of preschool, and dance so things are starting to slow down and I'm really enjoying not being crazy. (well I may still be crazy but life is not so crazy)
Oh that reminds me. Last night when we went walking there was this little boy (ok he was 13, but that's little to me) well he fell off his skateboard and he hit his head hard, he was laying on the ground crying, I asked if he was ok, and he said no. So we went over to check on him, and all of a sudden there was cars everywhere, an off duty paramedic stopped, someone called 911 and before we knew it there was a fire truck there. The boy was ok thank goodness and I do think people over reacted, but I know they had his best interest at heart. I was just worried they would charge his family for the call. Not everyone can afford an ambulance. I don't think I would have called 911, and it was much ado about nothing but how bad would I have felt if we didn't stop and see if he was ok.
Oh and today (I felt like the worst mom ever!!!) we were getting out of the car, and we moved Cara Mia and Porter's seats. So I grabbed Porter, and usually Kylie lets Cara Mia out, but she had to go to the bathroom, so she didn't so I go in the house and I'm getting people drinks and making my shake and whatever, I thought Cara Mia was in the bathroom, then I hear this screaming, I check the bathroom and Kylie was in there, then I realize it's coming from the garage, Cara Mia was still in the car!!!!!!!! Ok the garage was open and so were the car doors, so she was ok as far as that goes. But I left her in the car for probably about 10 mins!!! I don't know if it was that long or not but it was too long to be left out there by herself. I felt so bad. I just hugged her and kept saying I'm so sorry I'm so sorry. Do you forgive me?? And she said she did, she kept hugging me saying it's ok mommy don't be sad. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!! I can't believe I did that!!! You always hear about that on the news, and say I would never do that, what is wrong with people, then I did it!!!!!! I can't believe it, I really can't.

Tiff, I think you are an awesome mom. It's hard when you have so many little ones. You daughter sounds so precious.

I left Carter in the car once. He is so slow to get out so I just assumed everyone was out and hit the button from inside the house to shut the doors and lock up. I think 5 min later he tried to open it and set off the alarm. To this day he is like "mom remember when you locked me in the car?" Thanks for the reminder son!
