Christmas Parties!

Yesterday I had my friend JoAnna's kids and since our kids don't play together as much as they used to I thought I would try to make it really special. (I blured the faces of her kids since I didn't know how she would feel about me putting her kids on the internet.)

First we opened presents. They were the hats and scarfs that I made.

Then we did these stocking crafts. After that we had hot chocolate and cookies and then we watched some Christmas movies. It was a lot of fun. And after they left Cara Mia started crying and asking when they were going to come over again. It was so sweet. And all day today she asked if they were coming over today too.

Robbie's work had a Christmas party for the kids. They canceled the big Holiday party where we go to the Butte's and have dinner and dance and spend the night in the hotel. But this was fun too.

We frosted cookies, which they loved to do. Porter loved eating them.
Then we made cute little bags (the white lunch sacks) they had spiderman stickers and princess stickers and stamps and crayons, what more could a kid ask for.
Then we went and got balloon animals, well the girls got flowers, Elijah got a snake, and Porter got a Turtle.
Then we got in line to meet Santa, while I stood in line with Porter, Robbie and the kids went and made candy poppers, out of toilet paper rolls. (What a fun idea) and then we met Santa.
Cara Mia was a little nervous so she just stood next to him. Kylie and Elijah jumped right up on him and Porter was just enthralled by him. He just stared.

Kylie is so smart and such a little booger, she is all obsessed with what is real and what isn't. Like Elmo was just a person in a suit. And she sometimes ruins it for the others, we just tell her she can believe what ever she wants and they can believe what they want. So she won't tell us what she asked Santa for. And I couldn't overhear her either. So she is testing it already. Elijah wants a water globe and Cara Mia wants a computer (SHE IS ONLY 3) and a kitchen. She is getting a Princess Kitchen for her birthday but she is not getting a computer. Silly girl.

Then after that we went to Costco to get food for Porter's 1st birthday party. Then to walmart to get a pattern to make me a bolero for my dress for Monica's wedding. Then we went to Old Navy to get pants for me since they had them on sale for 12.00. You can't even get them at walmart for that price.

Then we came home had lunch and went to Elijah's soccer game.

It was a fun family day. On the way to town I had Elijah say a prayer that we would have a good day and have fun, because you know how it is to do a bunch of stuff with a bunch of kids but I wanted us to have a good time. Which we did the kids didn't whine too much and Robbie and I seemed to have a lot of patience too.
