The rest of our CA trip

The next day we just hung out at the condo. Since we weren't doing anything special Alexis called and asked if Kylie and Elijah could go and play at her mom's house so they went over there for most of the day.

We took a walk around the resort

it was my sister Marlise, her husband Nate, their two kids, Tannen and Kyler, Cara Mia, Porter, Robbie (except he wasn't in this picture Porter pooped so he went to change him.) Preston and Carter, (my brother KC's kids) I offered to take them since they are so good and nobody wants to stay inside with kids all day.

Cara Mia got really attached to Preston (my brother KC's other son) and she just had to hold his hand and walk with him. He is actually closer to Elijah's age but he is very sweet and patient and he helped her walk up the stairs and was always very patient with her.

They had a pretty fountain so we took a picture in front of it. It doesn't look like it but it was cold. Well to me (I have decided that I have acclimated to AZ's climate and now anything lower than 70 is freezing.) of course all my family from UT thought it was beautiful.


They had this Chess set that was as big as Porter so we thought we would go play but there was someone already playing, so we just took pictures instead.


This was the tree in the lobby. It was huge and decorated very pretty.

The resort had a playground so to get some of the kids energy out we went and played there.

Porter was not having fun. The poor boy he didn't get any naps the whole time we were there.

After the playground, we went to Monica's open presents party. Aunt Michelle got to hold Porter Monica got a few gifts and tons of money and gift cards. Michelle's husband was sitting next to her. He has been in Iraq for the last year or year and a half he is in the Army, and Michelle has been in Germany so it was fun to see her again.

This was actually Porter's birthday!!! So we celebrated it with all of my family. This was very important to me since they have never been to any of my kids parties and I want my kids to at least know my side a little bit and have memories with them. It was very special to me. We used Monica's extra wedding cake for his birthday cake and votive candles for his birthday candle. Oh well....

This time he totally got into it and made a huge mess. It was great. One of the few times messes don't bother me.

After the party I went and picked up my kids from Alexis', Robbie went back to our unit and put Porter down and Megan brought her Wii over and Elijah and Chandler got to play Wii. Elijah was so excited that is what he wanted so bad for Christmas.
