Happy Birthday Robbie and Happy New Year!!!

Robbie's birthday is on Dec 31st. He turned 31 this year so it was his golden birthday too.

I made him Banana's Foster french toast. This time without the Rum. We just sauteed the banana's in butter and brown sugar.

We had a little (sorta) party for him. His cousin Brent and his wife Rachael and their 5 kids came to visit from Utah and just happened to stay with us on his birthday, we also had over our friends Maelynn and Clark and their two sons.

I gave Robbie options that I could make for dinner and snacks and he just said yes. So I did them all. We had so much food!!!!
I got two pizzas from Costco and we had a veggie tray and chips and dip and salsa and guacamole.

Then after the kids had eaten we had cheese fondue. This is a favorite in our house but it is so expensive to make we don't have it often. Just one of the cheeses is 10.00 a lb but we had fondue and bread and potatoes and chicken and broccoli. Then I got out the chocolate fountain and we had chocolate and pretzels, marshmallows, brownies, angel food cake, pound cake, oreos, bananas and graham crackers.

Then as if that wasn't enough Robbie loves this trifle I make so I made him that for his birthday cake. It's pound cake with raspberries (well I couldn't find them so I used frozen mixed berries) and vanilla pudding and cool whip.

This year I thought it was so sweet the kids came up with this idea to wrap up their toys to give to Robbie. Elijah wrapped up The Lion the Witch and the wardrobe. In the biggest bag in the house. Then Kylie gave him a dragon and Cara Mia gave him Kitchen stuff. I thought it was so cute that they would give their stuff to him. I got him sunglasses from Amazon but they didn't get here yet. Plus this party was his present too.

Maelynn and Clark got him a cool Bilabong shirt. Very nice!!

Then the kids went upstairs to watch movies and we played Huggermugger. Robbie loves this game for some reason and we aren't even very good at it but it's like cranium but more vocabulary and spelling related. And I pulled out two cheese balls, I made my snowman cheese ball and then one that my friend Sandy told me about with red pepper (but I used yellow I couldn't find red) and pecans.

Then when the ball dropped we all had sparking apple cider.

This is Cara Mia right before she crashed. She did stay up for the new year but that's about it.

It was really fun and even though there was like 11 kids here they did really good and I don't remember any fighting.

It was so much fun.

This year was the year of family for us. We have seen family in the last two weeks that we haven't seen in years. Between all of my family and then Robbie's it has been really nice to catch up and spend time together.

Robbie's sister Tara gave us money to buy the kids clothes and I went to Ross and did you know they have really good prices on clothes. I got the girls matching outfits. Cara Mia's was 7.00 and Kylie's was 10.00 and that is for the shirt and pants together!!!
