Twilight!!!

Ok so I finally read the Twilight series. Well I read number 3 when I was in CA, I borrowed my sister's copy. And she's like you can't start with number 3 and I said I already know the basic story line I will be fine. And I actually really liked 3. I read it in two days. Then my cousin had sent the CD's of all 4 of them down to my grandma, but she wasn't really interested in them, so she asked me if I wanted to listen to them. Well I started with book one and I had all of them done in less than a week. I really liked 1-3 a lot. Except on the CD when the narrator speaks for Edward and he calls Bella's name she says it like Bellahhhhh. It was so annoying, I cringed every time she said it, so I liked the CD's a lot less than reading the books myself. I think I'm going to get them, they are in paperback now and on Amazon they are like 6.00 each. So I can read them instead of listening to this lady say Bellahhhh all the time. Ok but I didn't really like book 4. I thought the pregnancy dragged on and why did she really need to go to Washington or wherever to get the dumb passports. I just thought it didn't add anything to the story. I liked up until she got pregnant and then after she had the baby and they were meeting at the end I liked too, I just think the middle dragged a lot. But maybe I'll feel differently after I read it instead. And after hearing about Twilight for like years and years and how wonderful it was I think it was just so built up in my mind that no book could ever live up to it. I did like the series but it wasn't like I was one of those women who was like... My heart belongs to my husband but my neck belongs to Edward... give me a break.

So I was talking to my friend Lynda on facebook and she said something about it and I said I hadn't seen the movie. And she was like we are going tonight. Well stuff came up and we didn't go on Thursday, but we went on Friday, first we went to dinner and shared a sandwich at Mimi's. It was so funny we both wanted the same thing and neither one of us can eat a whole sandwich so we shared it. We got out of there spending about 8.00 each. not too bad huh?? Well all I ate was my french fries. I hadn't had any in such a long time. Like I don't remember the last time I had fries... and here is my theory on taking food home. I always eat my fries first because usually you can warm up your entree or like a sandwich will be good the next day but the fries are always gross so I eat them first. So last night I had fries for dinner. Healthy I know.

Anyway, then we went to Twilight. It was kinda fun sitting next to Lynda because she had read the books twice and seen the movie 7 times!!!! So something would happen and I wouldn't remember it from the book and anyway she kept me informed on what was going on.
Oh but before this when we had planned to go to the movie I watched some clips on youtube and I was so not impressed with it all. And wasn't even looking forward to seeing it.

But I think because my expectations weren't so high that it had nothing to live up to, I really liked it. A lot.... like I want to see it again and I want to buy the DVD, and I can't wait for the next one. And I'm reading Midnight Sun online right now. I'm still not one of those women who is just in love with Edward but I'm starting to appreciate the series more now and I'm really enjoying it.

Haha. I just finished the series for the first time. I wasn't sure if I would like them especially with all the craziness surrounding them. But I did like it and definitely not obsessed like everyone else. I also felt the same way about the movie. With low expectations, it's a great film. We think a lot alike sometimes and it's scary. :)shosp

Ha Ha Ha! You're so cute, Tiff! I didn't think I'd like the series; not a huge SciFi/ Vampire fan. But I did! Feel the same about the movie, too.
