Our weekend

This weekend was pretty busy.
On Friday I watched my friend's kids so her and her husband could go on a date before they have their baby. Their son is 8 and Elijah just adores him, they also have a daughter that is almost 3, her and Cara Mia like almost all the same things and Cara Mia loved having a friend over to play.
Then Saturday we went to Bro. Skousen's farm, (he is this awesome guy who has donated part of his farm to our Stake to let families farm their own fruits and veggies.) We planted zucchini, squash, watermelon, pumpkin, and some other things, we also ordered tomato's which we will plant this Sat. I also want to plant some strawberries and an herb garden. We'll see if that ends up happening or not. But it was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see if anything grows.
After that Elijah went to one of his friend's birthday party. He had a lot of fun. He has just started getting invited to parties and things like that.
Then we dropped our kids off at my friend Monica's house and we went to lunch at Macaroni Grill and then to the temple. I have not been since I was pregnant with Cara Mia so over 3 years. It was very cool and I felt a little nervous since I hadn't been there in a while but over all it was so peaceful. When I was there I didn't think about the outside world at all. It was very nice.
Then we came and rescued Monica and Tom from our kids, it was so nice of them to watch them for us. Thank you!!!!
Then Sunday, Robbie took Kylie, Elijah and Cara Mia to church and I stayed home. Kylie had broke my already broken glasses and I had to wear an old pair (people call them my Lisa Lobe glasses) and I don't know if they are still my prescription so I had a huge migraine on Sunday, I couldn't even walk, but sleeping and resting helped and by the afternoon I was feeling better. Plus Robbie fixed my glasses so I could wear them again.
Monday was a busy day for us. I watched my friend's daughter so she could go into town and then we had 2 more friends come over too. The kids had so much fun, we played outside, had a picnic lunch out in the backyard, played some more outside ( until someone got hit by a swing) then we played doll house, then we scrapbooked and made cards, watched a movie, had frappes in the backyard, then the girls went back upstairs to play doll house again.
It was busy but there was hardly any fighting (unless you count Elijah bugging the girls, he loves to do that) and we had so much fun. Kylie was happy to scrapbook. She made me a gatefold card with a baby picture of her in it, Elijah made me a little notebook that he wrote notes on and drew pictures on, and then after Kylie seeing he did that she had to make me one too.
It was a lot of fun and a pretty good way to start off Spring Break.
Today we went to Far Far Away, to visit my friend Julie. I had made her a word album that said
grand kids and it had pictures of her grandkids in it. We just hung out and watched a video and made lunch, watched the kids play in the dirt in the backyard, and the kids colored.
It was fun to visit her, we don't get to see her as often as we used to when she lived in Chandler.
It has been a pretty fun Spring Break so far.

You are so great about helping watching other's kids...what a great example you are!! Sounds like a fun weekend (take away sunday for you!). I will have to send you an invite when I finish the kids "play room" so all your kids can come play!!
